The Oxford Place

2 Oxford Pl, Leeds LS1 3AX, UK – 0113 234 1294

Amazing food! Very quirky setting giving a great atmosphere. Everything is gluten free which is fantastic, but this does not compromise on taste. He portions are good and the service excellent. The battered haddock was incredible!

Wonderfully accomadating of our large birthday group :) we had an excellent meal, which impressively all came out at once. The food was tasty and the staff extremely friendly, lots of laughs and celebratory drinks had by all. I had a fantastic night for my big 3-0. A huge thankyou to the staff at Oxford place!!

Gusto Restaurant and Bar

10 Greek St, Leeds LS1 5RU, UK – 0113 200 5920

I've been here twice now and both times the food has been exceptional. The staff are all really lovely. The food is delicious and they have a really good variety of food and drinks. They also have a very reasonably priced set menu. It's honestly my favourite restaurant to go to

Tasty food, deserts were great! Fantastic service and nice atmosphere.

Thai Edge Restaurant

7 Calverley St, Leeds LS1 3DA, UK – 0113 243 6333

Great ambience and the food was good. Weirdly the chicken curries all had a similar taste, duck with cashew nuts tasted amazing. 4 stars because the price to portions could be a bit better and a service charge of 10%!

Really nice food. Great service. We didn't have to wait long for the food to come out and we enjoyed it

Best Reviewed Indian Restaurants and Takeaways in Roundhay or in Leeds area

Aagrah Chapel Allerton - Kashmiri Restaurant

Regents Court, 33-39 Harrogate Rd, Leeds LS7 3PD, UK – 0113 262 4722

Delicious food, lost a star because when I order something from a menu I expect the takeaway version to be the same dish, my Parsi was missing the fried potato layer advertised yet it was the same price as the restaurant version.

Excellent place. 1st class food & service. Would highly recommend.

Kerala Restaurant

2 Eastgate, Leeds LS2 7JL, UK – 0113 234 0033

I went to Kerala in Leeds based on review both here and on TripAdvisor. My son is vegetarian and I am not, we both fancied something spicy. It doesn't look much from the outside, but well worth exploring up the stairs. I've eaten South Indian food before, and recommended my son try the Masala Dosa, which they brought as a starter along with Chicken 65 for me. Chicken 65 is a spicy chicken bites kind of dish. Not too hot, but great sticky flavours. The Masala Dosa would have done as a main meal for one if not too hungry. We asked for advice on mains, For my son they brought Karthikka Thiyel, which is Aubergine and tamarind in a great sauce. I had Chicken Chettinadu, which was quite similar to the veg dish, really nice flavours. This was way too much food for the two of us, but I didn't mind as we were really wanting to explore the new flavours of South Indian cooking.

This is without a shadow of a doubt the best Indian food in Leeds. It is so authentic. The decor and atmosphere are lovely with really helpful and friendly staff. The food is so tasty with really balanced flavours - and very reasonably priced with a great selection of equally reasonably priced wine.

Akbar's

15 Eastgate, Leeds LS2 7LY, UK – 0113 245 6566

Fantastic food, great atmosphere. We were served by Afsar he was absolutely brilliant. He is a real asset to the team. Thoroughly recommend! Overall a fantastic experience. Will definitely be returning.

Decent food and atmosphere. Great place for a work dinner, or a group of friends. I particularly like the lamb bhuna. Reasonable price.

Best Reviewed Italian Pasta and Pizza Restaurants

Jamie's Italian

35 Park Row, Leeds LS1 5JL, UK – 0113 322 5400

Booked a table to celebrate a birthday. We ended up having 3 courses each. The service was excellent throughout and the building and facilities were very well styled. The food was of great quality and the portion sizes were appropriate. The price did match this. Although it wasn't too busy I would recommend booking before visiting.

This is the first time of visiting Jamie Oliver's. And I wasn't disappointed. I had organised my daughter's hen night here. 25 ladies. I would like to say a big thank you to Jason the manager who made this special day even better, and also a big thank you to our waiter Leo... nothing was too much trouble for them even down to taking pictures of groups. All the food come out together all hot and very tasty we will be returning here. Out of all the 25 ladies all of them was impressed.

Zizzi Leeds the Light

The Light Shopping Centre, The Headrow, Leeds LS1 8TL, UK – 0113 450 5075

I had a coupon voucher for a 3 course meal. I was served straight away. Excellent service especially from Gisela! She’s the funniest and nicest waitress that has served me in my life. Truly brightened up my day! :) the food was pretty good. Value for money. Loved the chocolate and sea salt ice cream! That was heavenly! :) only thing to improve: I wish the risotto had a bit more flavour, maybe it needs more cheese 🧀 😂 10/10! Would definitely come again

I've been to many zizzis but this one is my favourite. Lovely food and always excellent service.

San Carlo

6-7 S Parade, Leeds LS1 5QX, UK – 0113 246 1500

Have come here on several occasions and the meals are acceptable. However for the prices charged they should be outstanding. Very surprised they do not have a gluten free menu although I was told they could change the ingredients to allow for this.

Incredible, absolutely incredible! Service was sublime! I will definitely be visiting San Carlos Leeds more often.

Lovely food but when we had finished the meal took them an hour to bring the bill

Good place

The Decanter

17 Park Row, Leeds LS1 5JQ, UK

Fantastic bar with great cocktails, gins, beers and wines. Very relaxed atmosphere and uber polite bar staff. Drinks are a little more expensive than a normal pub, but you won't find any pre mixed sickly sweet drink here all the drinks are made from fresh with great ingredients. Will visit repeatedly

Hidden gem of a bar, it has been here for a number of years and I only found it this week. Friendly staff and good selection of drinks available.

All Bar One Greek Street

27 E Parade, Leeds LS1 5BN, UK – 0113 245 2485

Often have meetings here. Nice trendy little place. Nice friendly helpful staff with good service.

My friends and I were visiting Leeds for the weekend because we had heard rumours that it had great nightlife. We started our night in All Bar One after a receiving a tip from a local that it was the place to go. They were certainly right! We were greeted by the fabulous Joy, who made us feel right at home after we told her we were up for the weekend. She took care of us all night and made sure our glasses were never empty. We were only supposed to stay for a couple drinks but we ended up staying til closing. It was the perfect start to our weekend away and I will certainly be returning when I visit Leeds again.

Leeds Chinese Restaurants

Nice place to go for a meal especially with a large party of people - highly recommend make your own meal X

Oriental City Restaurant

30-36 Cross Stamford St, Leeds LS7 1BA, UK – 0113 244 9797

Lovely restaurant with great food. Staff sometimes can get a bit pushy for you to leave if you are finished with your food but I guess they don’t like ppl that talk a lot like me. Overall one of the best places to have Chinese in Leeds. Don’t be fooled by the way the restaurant looks from the outside. It’s great food (5stars)

Good selection of tasty dishes. Wife enjoyed the crispy noodle chow mein but the Singapore vermicelli was a little meat shy.

Crown Chinese Restaurant

Academy Building, Gower St, Leeds LS2 7PX, UK – 0113 242 7788

It's rare that you get food service staff who don't treat you like you're invisible, or an inconvenience. It's also occasional that some of your food might not be as tasty as you hoped, or you might feel like you've overpaid. Tonight, none of the above happened. Everyone was warm and friendly and appreciated our custom. The food was fantastic, and whilst the buffet price was expensive, there were no complaints at all due to the full experience being as pleasant as it. We would definitely go back. Thank you :)

Amazing and authentic dim sum, perfect for large groups. The food is outstanding and the staff are very attentive. Will definitely return here if I find myself in Leeds again as it is by far the best restaurant in Leeds.

Leeds Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurants

Zaap Thai Street Food Leeds

16-17 Grand Arcade,Leeds, Leeds LS1 6PG, UK – 0113 243 2586

Visited Zaap for the first time and was taken back by the amazing decor, it was surreal leaving the boring streets and entering a portal to a whole new culture! Thai signs and posters cover the walls and there’s even a tut tut sat out front! Whilst it constantly looks busy, don’t let that scare you off, its quick to get a table and the food came out within ten minutes! The drinks were beautiful and they had a wide range of soft drinks, beers & cocktails, perfect for everyone! The portions were massive and you just had to eat it all. Probably the best Thai I’ve had in a long time. Definitely coming back here on a regular basis.

Absolutely top notch! Can't fault it. Amazing value for money, amazing food, amazing cocktails, lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, you can see the food being made in the kitchen, it's a winner all round. But pretend it's awful and don't go, so it's not busy when I go which if I could afford it would be every night! On a serious note, it's too shelf quality, highly recommended if you like Thai food.

Sukhothai Restaurant

15 S Parade, Leeds LS1 5QS, UK – 0113 242 2795

Great service with a traditional feel and smile. The Interior of the place has been very well though out and truly captures the vibe of the east, with stunning Buddha statues, green plants, gigantic tank with a statue of a goddess on a chariot! But the best thing was the menu. Great selection. All the dishes were excellent that we ate. Really recommend it!

Absolutely loved everything about this place! Brilliant, attentive service from start to finish. The food was delicious, well presented and a decent serving. Decor was tasteful, traditional and elegant. Literally could not fault any part of our visit there! Will definitely be back :)

Global Tribe Cafe

18 Swan St, Leeds LS1 6LG, UK – 0113 318 4289

One of the longest standing vegan + vegetarian cafes in Leeds. There’s always a raw food option available, good quality juices and smoothies too. Neither cheap nor expensive, there’s a good breakfast and lunch menu. Closes by 6. The space is small. If you have a loud voice (as I do), you can probably expect most of the cafe to hear your conversation. The staff often change and with it the mood of the cafe. I must say, from my visit today, at the moment the mood seems a little low. In recent times I’ve never been in with the place full, so no difficulties with getting a table. There are a number of vegan / vegetarian places opened up in Leeds now which perhaps is pulling some of global tribes traffic. Whilst in town, it’s not on a major walkway and is up some stairs which means it’s not wheelchair friendly unfortunately. The food quality is reasonably good, with healthyish options and a reasonably extensive menu with daily specials on offer. Definitely worth a visit even if just for a smoothie and a slice of raw cake.

One of my favourite vegetarian places ever. I went there with a couple of friends who are not vegetarian and we all loved the food, it was delicious. I love the values they support, the aesthetic of the place is amazing and I felt very comfortable. I'll definitely be back!

North Bar

24 New Briggate, Leeds LS1 6NU, UK – 0113 242 4540

Went here off the back of all the other north brewery bars in Yorkshire. I loved it. Same great atmosphere as all the others and the staff are so willing to help you choose a beer from the many on offer. Been here a few times after and it's been the same.every time. The tunes are great too. Have not had the food so couldn't comment. But the blackberry and raspberry gose is worth losing a vital organ for a pint of.

On the craft beer to do list, called in yesterday a great range of beers cans, bottles and draught. Lovely staff and knowledgeable cool little bar too. Oh and a photo booth!!

Preston

468, Roundhay Road, Leeds LS8 2HU, UK – 0113 249 4709

First time I had been in here. Really liked it. Nice relaxing atmosphere, nice beer, interesting lighting which is a feature of this local chain of bars. Staff were friendly too.

Excellent little bar with a superb range of beers. Outdoor seating for the summer evenings and staff who actually know about the beer they're selling! I'll be going the again. Regularly!

Further North

194 Harrogate Rd, Leeds LS7 4NZ, UK – 0113 237 0962

Beer was cloudy on my visit but nice little place. With 3 good draught beers and more space (upstairs, what upstairs?) you could do well

Love this little bar, great for a few cold ones on a hot and sticky evening, veltins on tap is always a bonus in my eyes !
